Dr. Devos-Comby is a Research Scientist with the AOD Initiatives Research, a research office of the San Diego State University Research Foundation and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at San Diego State University.

As a health social psychologist, most of Dr. Devos-Comby's work has focused on risk behaviors, health beliefs and attitudes, and intervention strategies surrounding major health issues (HIV, osteoarthritis, colorectal cancer, and alcohol misuse).

Her work at AOD Initiatives Research focuses mostly on the systematic investigation of college student natural drinking groups and on field experiments conducted in nightlife districts to test various health communications and policies. Research projects typically combine the use of mixed methods and examine the use of Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) in social contexts where it naturally occurs.

Dr. Devos-Comby completed her education at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, before working for two years as a Post-Doctoral Researcher with Dr. Peter Salovey at Yale University, and then establishing herself at San Diego State University several years ago.
